about glenelg station

Glenelg Station is a dream rekindled - a once-forgotten property brought back to life with care, community, and a deep love for the land.

Glenelg Station isn’t just a property - it’s a long-held dream, lovingly brought back to life. When Amanda and Mark purchased the run-down estate in 2017, it was in a state of near collapse, drought-stricken, weathered, and forgotten. What followed was a rebuild fuelled by grit, community spirit, and a deep respect for the land’s history.

With both growing up on farms and a shared love for country life, Amanda and Mark poured themselves into restoring what once was. The old Manager’s Cottage, now The Overseer, has been given new life. Two romantic cabins and a soon-to-be-finished family cottage now welcome guests, while the Woolshed and Shearers Quarters continue their quiet transformation.

Split between Toowoomba and Glenelg and with Mark running Abra Agencies and Amanda leaving a 36-year nursing career they’ve slowly built something enduring. Their three children, scattered across the country, they carry that same rural heart into their own adventures.

This isn’t a polished estate. It’s a place with history in its bones and hard work in every beam. A station being restored, not replaced. And a chance for guests to feel part of something real.
